The McCord Stewart Museum is a place where the memory and soul of Montreal come to life, an institution that “acts locally and thinks globally,” in the words of Martinican poet and philosopher Édouard Glissant. Despite an increasingly turbulent global context—where threats are multiplying, relationships are fragmenting, resentment is growing, and funding sources are drying up—the Museum has consolidated its position as a leading institution on the Montreal, Quebec and Canadian cultural scenes, as shown by the achievements and distinctions that marked 2024-2025.
