As part of the 8th edition of the Biennale d’art contemporain autochtone and the Artist-in-Residence program, the artist Carrie Allison (nêhiýaw/ Métis/mixed European descent) presents several new works inspired by her research at the heart of the Museum’s Indigenous Cultures collection. Carrie Allison focused largely on handmade beadwork objects, many donated by the Gaudet family.
