Indigenous Cultures Programming

The McCord Stewart Museum honours the cultures and traditions of First Peoples through its permanent exhibition and a series of activities open to all audiences. In recognition of National Indigenous History Month, engage with Indigenous perspectives through experiences that foster discovery, dialogue, and reflection: exhibitions, activities, blog articles, online collections, and education kits.

The exhibition bears witness to the still unrecognized knowledge of Indigenous peoples in Quebec and Canada as well as the deep wounds they carry and their incredible resilience.

Natu-natshishkueu: The adventure of connection

In the permanent exhibition | On-going

Through observation, imagination and discussion, children and adults connect with Indigenous nations by exploring the permanent exhibition, the Museum’s Indigenous Cultures collection, and the many stories it holds.
This activity is recommended for children aged 6 to 11 and is presented in French as well as in English.
