As part of the National Indigenous History Month and the National Indigenous Peoples Day, the McCord Stewart Museum is celebrating the creativity and the Indigenous Peoples traditions with a series of activities in June.
Literary Evening

Talks with Michel Jean and Shayne Michael

Wednesday, June 14, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Dive into Indigenous literature with the Museum and Éditions Hannenorak! This evening of talks, hosted by Samuel Rainville, will throw open the doors to the literary universes of Michel Jean and Shayne Michael.

Presented in conjunction with Je lis autochtone and the New Chapter Series.

CIVILIZED

CIVILIZED is a play inspired by actual reports, writings and speeches from Sir Wilfrid Laurier’s government. The solo show debuted in 2022 to rave reviews in several cities in Ontario and Manitoba.

Presented as part of the Montreal Fringe Festival.
