  • September 26: Negotiating Peace: Indigenous and French Diplomacies
    To mark the 325th anniversary of the Great Peace of Montreal, the Museum is offering a guided tour highlighting this landmark event. The tour explores this pivotal moment in diplomacy between Indigenous Nations and representatives of New France. Through maps, objects and historical accounts, participants will discover the diplomatic practices that shaped this historic negotiation while highlighting the agency of Indigenous leaders and negotiators.

Admissions

  • This activity requires the purchase of a Museum admission ticket. Space limited! Secure your spot on site at the Museum box office. First come, first served!
  • Exclusive Access Museum members can reserve their spot online.
    Interested in the event, but it is sold out? You can show up 15 minutes in advance, and register on the waiting list. Some places might become available before the beginning of the event.
