In this workshop, Lylliane Lequellec, Artisan Consultant at Fibershed Québec, will demonstrate the steps involved in producing wool, from shearing the fleece, through to cleaning, carding and spinning.
Free activity given in French, July 6 and August 24, 2023, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m.
Location: McCord Stewart Museum’s Urban Forest
In case of rain, the workshops will be postponed to Thursday of the following week.
Fibershed Québec values and promotes local textiles, respecting the “soil-to-soil” approach that underpins Fibershed initiatives. The organization supports and shares regional fibre systems and develops the collective expertise of the textile and garment sector, through viable and equitable projects that reshape our environment and our economy.
