Introduction to beading with artist Niap

During this workshop, Inuk artist Niap will explain how to work with the tools used to create traditional beadwork and introduce you to Inuit beading techniques. Designed for both novice and experienced beaders, these workshops are an opportunity to learn more about this Indigenous art form and experience a shared moment of connection.

Program

  • Workshop for families: 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., ages 5 and up.
  • Workshop for teens and adults: 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., ages 13 and up.

Free activity, presented Saturday, June 11, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. for families and 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. for teens and adults.
Location: Urban Forest
In case of rain, the workshop will be held in the J. Armand Bombardier Theatre at the McCord Museum.
