The 50th Anniversary of the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal

To mark the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, the Museum is presenting an exhibition that celebrates this landmark event in the contemporary history of Montreal, Quebec and Canada. Featuring a rich collection of documents and objects—including clothing, archives, posters, cartoons, photographs and artefacts—the exhibition explores the many facets of the Games.

Beyond the athletic feats that defined this international event, the exhibition also delves into the controversies that surrounded its preparation, as well as its urban and architectural legacy.
