Street photography contest – Capturing Montreal

Photography lovers ─ whether starting out or professional ─ capture an authentic Montreal moment for a chance to win one of the two prizes offered by the Museum, Royal Photo and Fujifilm. From June 13 to July 13, 2025 get inspired by the photographs presented in the exhibition Pounding the Pavement : Montreal Street Photography. From the intimate to the spectacular, rediscover the streets of the city, its liveliness, its architecture and the atmosphere of its neighbourhoods.

The Jury Prize (total value: $3,330)

Submit a street photograph of Montreal taken during the contest period via this form.

Prizes to be won:

• A Fujifilm X100VI camera, provided by Royal Photo, valued at $2,160
• A one-year Exculsive Access membership to the Museum;
• The exhibition book: Pounding the Pavement: Montreal Street Photography

The Audience Prize (total value: $1,170)

Share your most beautiful pictures on Instagram, including the hashtag #PhotoRueMtl. Say where they were taken in the city, not forgetting to mention @museemccordstewart, @royalphotovideo and @fujifilm. The photo receiving the most “likes” and comments will win the Audience Prize.

The two winning photos will be displayed at the Museum for 4 weeks. The two laureates will also win a street photography workshop led by professional photographers led by Freddy Arciniegas, alias @arcpixel!

Important: It is the responsibility of the person entering their photograph to make sure to have the distribution rights for the photo, and that the people who appear in it have agreed to be photographed. The photos submitted should not include children less than 13 years old.
