Sugar Ball 2025: Indulgence Meets Generosity at St-James Theatre
Montreal, December 16, 2025. –On Friday, November 14, 2025, hundreds of young professionals gathered at St-James Theatre, an architectural gem in the heart of Old Montreal, for the 2025 Sugar Ball. Under the theme “Off Menu,” the evening invited guests into a playful and unexpected culinary world, where sweet indulgences took centre stage in an elegant, high-energy and festive atmosphere designed by Oxygène. Thanks to the generosity of more than 700 attendees and the support of numerous partners, the event raised over $265,000 to help make culture more accessible and inclusive.
Organized by the Young McCord Philanthropist Committee, this annual benefit event supports the McCord Stewart Museum’s educational programs, which introduce more than 10,000 students each year to Montreal’s social history.
The evening also featured a charity auction with exclusive offerings, including luxury hotel stays and photographic prints of works from the Museum’s collection. The auction raised more than $55,000.
