Holiday Programming

From December 3, 2021, to January 2, 2022, a wide range of activities will entertain the entire family and create magical memories. A free outing to add to the holiday schedule!


Due to the tightening of health and safety measures and the interactive experience of the family workshops, the following previously scheduled workshops during the holiday season have been cancelled:

  • What’s on your mind? (December 18, 22 and 29, 2021)
  • Let’s Talk! (December 19, 2021)

Enchanted Worlds

From December 3 to January 2. A presentation of IÖGO nanö.
Relive the magic of Ogilvy’s mechanical holiday window displays with Enchanted Worlds. Visit The Mill in the Forest, on Victoria Street near Sherbrooke, and The Enchanted Village, inside the Museum’s Theatre.
+ Free! An exciting game of hide and seek is available free of charge for children at the Museum’s Admission Desk.

Natu-Natshishkueu: The Adventure of Connection

Every day, ongoing.
Team up with your family and discover the new permanent exhibition Indigenous Voices of Today: Knowledge, Trauma, Resilience. Through observation, imagination and discussion, children and adults encounter Indigenous nations by exploring the Museum’s Indigenous Cultures collection and the many stories it holds.
Presented by Hydro-Québec. Recommended for adults with children ages 6 to 11.

Participatory Tour – 100 Years Young

As of December 18, every day at 11:30 a.m. in French and 3:30 p.m. in English
To mark the Museum’s 100th anniversary, visitors are invited to take a look at the history of the Museum, learn more about its founder, and dig deeper into its collection. A guided tour of the Museum with stories illustrating its DNA.
Duration: 30 minutes. Space is limited; first come, first served.

Toy Donations: Welcome! Want to Play?

From December 15 to January 2
For the fourth year in a row, the McCord Museum and the Centre social d’aide aux immigrants (CSAI) are inviting you to donate a gently used toy to a family that has recently settled in Montreal. To participate, simply drop off your donation, along with a note recounting a memory associated with the object, in the collection box at the Museum.
All the items collected will be given to newly arrived Montreal families who are registered with the CSAI.
