Information on virtual activities

Virtual Tours

A Museum facilitator will present the exhibition with a video produced by the McCord Stewart Museum’s Education, Community Engagement and Cultural Programs team. The video is presented from a Museum computer and accompanied by lively, interactive discussions between participants and the facilitator, creating a dynamic and engaging experience. Interaction is strongly encouraged to replicate the friendly, participatory atmosphere of an inperson guided tour. To ensure the activity runs smoothly, the group leader must be present: they must be either connected to the Zoom session or near the classroom computer so that they can intervene if needed.

Required Equipment

→ A computer with Internet access, speakers, a microphone and ideally a webcam
→ A projector if the activity takes place in a classroom

For the best experience, we recommend showing the video on a large screen (such as an interactive white board, large TV or projector screen).

Connection Instructions

The activity will take place on Teams to encourage interaction between participants and our facilitators. Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive detailed instructions on how to join the session. We strongly recommend reviewing these ahead of time to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.
