New Appointments to the Boards of Trustees of the McCord Stewart Museum and the McCord Stewart Museum Foundation

Montreal, December 9, 2025 – The McCord Stewart Museum and the McCord Stewart Museum Foundation are pleased to announce the appointment of new members to their respective boards of trustees. Their expertise and commitment will help advance the Museum’s mission, strengthen its community impact and expand its reach. Eric Girard, Patricia Hénault and Rafaël Provost join the Museum’s board of trustees, while Marie-Ginette Lepage and Guillaume Marion join the Foundation’s board.

Their diverse expertise and wide-ranging professional experience will bring valuable perspectives to our work. These appointments mark an important step in advancing our strategic objectives, especially our commitment to enhancing the Museum’s accessibility and relevance. I am confident their contributions will help shape a vibrant future for the Museum,” said Ghislain Picard, Chair of the Board.

New members of the McCord Stewart Museum Board of Trustees:

Eric Girard

Eric Girard joined National Bank more than 20 years ago and holds the role of Senior Manager, Corporate and Regulatory Affairs. As part of his duties, he manages intellectual property assets that include National Bank’s large art collection. He also oversees the application and implementation of laws and regulations applicable to the organization. Over the course of his career, he has worked to build and energize various teams, including Language Services, Legal Operations and the Intellectual Property Office. He is known for his drive, entrepreneurial spirit and leadership, particularly in delivering complex projects.

As the adoptive father of two minority children, he is highly sensitive to diversity and inclusion issues, actively promotes equality and equity, and supports visible and invisible differences in society. These values have led him to get involved in various committees, segments and councils related to inclusion and diversity within his organization.

Joining the Board of Trustees of the McCord Stewart Museum is a privilege for him, and he is pleased to be able to help preserve artistic heritage and promote this institution.

Patricia Hénault

Patricia is a lawyer in Fasken’s Montreal office, practising in the Intellectual Property (IP) and Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) groups. Patricia is a versatile litigator who has appeared before all levels of the federal and provincial (Quebec) courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Quebec Court of Appeal. She regularly acts for clients in IP matters involving interim and interlocutory injunctions in the context of unfair competition and passing off.

Patricia has a deep understanding of the IP legislative and regulatory landscape. In her view, intellectual property not only involves obtaining, registering and using patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets but also advances knowledge, generates investment returns, finances research and development, demonstrates the trustworthiness and credibility of an innovative business and ensures its continuity and profitability. As a result, Patricia excels at providing clients with advice on how to effectively manage, leverage and protect these valuable assets.

Her clients also benefit from her extensive knowledge of health law, gained from her experience advising and representing pharmaceutical companies in their market access efforts, in patent litigation and in applications for judicial review.

Patricia also acts on behalf of some of Canada’s largest media companies in matters involving freedom of the press and freedom of expression. She regularly opposes applications for publication bans and other confidentiality orders on behalf of the media in both civil and criminal matters.

Rafaël Provost

Rafaël Provost brings over fifteen years of diverse professional experience and has served since 2022 as Executive Director of ENSEMBLE for the Respect of Diversity, an organization dedicated to combating bullying and promoting inclusion across Canada. Leading a team of about twenty professionals, he is recognized for his compassionate, engaging and deeply human leadership.

Named among Quebec’s 15 most influential LinkedIn creators, he has also ranked in the Top 4 Young Managers in Quebec by the Regroupement des jeunes chambres de commerce and among the Top 20 Nonprofit Executive Directors of 2023. In 2025, he was a finalist for the Arista Award in the Young Executive of the Year category and was named Young Leader of the Year in Quebec by the CCEM.

Rafaël is also one of the 2025/26 fellows of the prestigious national public policy and leadership program Action Canada, recognizing his influence, impact and vision on a pan-Canadian scale. A regular speaker and columnist in Quebec media, he is driven by a deep passion for humanity, for social justice and for meaningful dialogue. Rafaël dedicates his career to building environments that are fairer, more inclusive, respectful and caring, where every voice has a place.

Marie Ginette Lepage

Marie Ginette Lepage is a dynamic and transformative C-suite executive with an impressive 30-year career distinguished by significant contributions to business growth, strategic innovation, and operational excellence. Her leadership style is characterized by a results-driven approach and a passion for cultivating high-performing teams.

As Senior Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer at Cogeco Communications, Marie Ginette played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s future. She orchestrated and led the overall transformation program, making key organizational decisions that drove sustainable growth and ensured the company’s continued success in a rapidly evolving marketplace. Her responsibilities included identifying opportunities for innovation, streamlining processes and implementing change management strategies that enabled the company to adapt and thrive. Prior to this role, Ms. Lepage served as Senior Vice President of Mobile Strategy at Cogeco Communications. In this capacity, she was responsible for spearheading the company’s wireless strategy, which involved identifying and developing new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships and alliances, and exploring emerging technologies.

Prior to Cogeco, Marie Ginette spent over a decade at Videotron, Quebec’s largest telecommunications and entertainment provider. As Vice President of Broadcasting and Content, she oversaw a $1 billion revenue portfolio and consistently surpassed growth targets. She also led one of the company’s most important strategic projects: the rollout of its mobile network. Her leadership in her roles was marked by a keen understanding of consumer trends, a commitment to delivering high-quality products, and a talent for building strong relationships with industry partners.

Marie Ginette is a highly respected leader known for her ability to navigate complex business challenges and foster growth in highly competitive markets. Her expertise encompasses a wide range of areas, including strategic planning, business transformation, customer experience and marketing. Throughout her career, she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to innovation, a clear vision for the future and an unwavering dedication to achieving organizational excellence. She holds an MBA from HEC Montréal, a bachelor’s degree in industrial relations from Université de Montréal and a university certification in corporate governance (ASC) from the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (College of Business Administrators) of Laval University.

Guillaume Marion

Guillaume Marion is a Partner at Sagard, where he leads relationships with entrepreneurs, family offices, and institutions to drive deal flow, capital formation, and ecosystem growth in Quebec. He joined Sagard in 2017 and has over 20 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, and investment banking across Canada and Europe.

From 2017 to 2024, Guillaume played a key leadership role in scaling Sagard’s venture platform, Diagram. As Partner & COO/CFO and chair of its investment committee, he was instrumental in growing it from one fund and two incubated companies to five funds and more than 20 ventures, creating over 1,500 jobs and generating over $1.5 billion in shareholder value.

Guillaume holds a Master’s in Finance from London Business School and a BBA from HEC Montréal. He is a CFA and CAIA charterholder. He serves on non-profit boards, including the Opéra de Montréal and the Montreal Economic Institute, and is actively involved within Canadian private capital associations.
