Join us on September 25 for an exclusive event at the McCord Stewart Museum during Montreal Fashion Week 2025!

Be one of the first to visit the exhibition Africa Fashion, from London’s Victoria and Albert Museum, in its only Canadian showing –a unique opportunity for fans of fashion and African cultures to celebrate the creativity, influence and richness of the African continent through fashion.

Experience the creativity of six local designers at a dazzling fashion show presented by the Centre culturel afro-canadien de Montréal (CCAM) , with Bal Afrikana’s head stylist Mlle Geri.

With the participation of special guest stylist @Sheyumboe.

Program

  • 5:30 p.m. – Doors open for Africa Fashion, an exclusive Canadian showing
  • 7:00 p.m. – Event begins
  • 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. – Fashion show organized by the CCAM
    Discover 15 stunning looks by six local designers, originally unveiled at Bal Afrikana.
  • Ongoing during the evening
    Hands-on àdìr workshop – Learn this traditional Nigerian textile dyeing technique
    Music by DJ Don Barbarino
    Live hair-sculpting performance by Nadiska
    Presentation of four creations by student and graduates from LaSalle College, a member of the LCI Education network
    Bar service ($) – Enjoy a complimentary drink courtesy of 1664, official partner of Montreal Fashion Week (non-alcoholic option available)
