Join us on September 25 for an exclusive event at the McCord Stewart Museum during Montreal Fashion Week 2025!
Be one of the first to visit the exhibition Africa Fashion, from London’s Victoria and Albert Museum, in its only Canadian showing –a unique opportunity for fans of fashion and African cultures to celebrate the creativity, influence and richness of the African continent through fashion.
Experience the creativity of six local Afro-descendant designers at a dazzling fashion show presented by the Centre Culturel Afro-Canadien de Montréal (CCAM), with artistic direction by Mlle Geri and special guest stylist @Sheyumboe.
Program
- 5:30 p.m. – Doors open for Africa Fashion, an exclusive Canadian showing
- 7:00 p.m. – Event begins
Hands-on Adire workshop – Learn this traditional Nigerian textile dyeing technique
Music by DJ Don Barbarino
Live hair-sculpting performance by Nadisca - 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. – Fashion show
Discover 15 stunning looks by six Afro-descendant designers, originally unveiled at the Bal Afrikana, in this show organized by the Centre Culturel Afro-Canadien de Montréal (CCAM) - Ongoing during the evening – Bar service ($) – Enjoy a complimentary drink courtesy of 1664 (non-alcoholic option available)
