The McCord Museum is in the heart of the Golden Square Mile, where for 100 years the Montreal elite lived in a small patch of countryside that allowed them to escape the pollution of neighbourhoods near the port.\u00a0Equiped with a tablet and accompanied by a guide, students tour the Golden Square Mile and the architectural styles of the 19th and 20th centuries. Along the way, they discover how the neighbourhood’s magnificient buildings have been integrated into today’s urban landscape.<\/p>\n

In a\u00a0workshop<\/strong>, students create a photomontage where the past and the present meet.<\/p>\n

Before making your reservation, please prepare the following information:<\/h4>\n
    \n
  • The title of activity chosen;<\/li>\n
  • Three possible dates to facilitate the reservation process;<\/li>\n
  • Preferred time for your tour, the number of students\u00a0in your group, their grade level, and the language in which you would like the tour to be conducted;<\/li>\n
  • Complete contact information for your organization, including an email address to enable us to send you a tour confirmation notice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    After making your reservation, you will receive\u00a0confirmation by email. Please acknowledge receipt\u00a0to confirm the time of your visit and the number\u00a0of participants.<\/p>\n

    To ensure the visit goes smoothly, set aside enough time for the cloakroom, snacks and washroom breaks.<\/p>\n

    Lastly, plan to have one accompanying adult for every 15 students. He or she will be admitted for free of charge.<\/p>\n

    Changes or cancellations<\/h4>\n

    Unless you notify us of changes 48 hours before the\u00a0date of your activity, you will be charged for the number\u00a0of participants indicated in your reservation.<\/p>\n

    Method of payment<\/h4>\n

    On the day of the activity, the person responsible\u00a0for the group is asked to proceed to the admissions\u00a0desk to settle payment. The total amount may be paid\u00a0via invoice or on site via cash or cheque. Please make your cheque payable to the McCord Museum.<\/p>\n

    Lunch area<\/h4>\n

    A lunch area is available for a fee of $50.<\/p>\n
