Caterina Florio
\n<\/strong><\/span>Head, Conservation<\/a><\/p>\n

Caterina joined the Museum team in 2021. With a strong interest in how museums function and what they can achieve, she is committed to the wider relevance of conservation as regards both museum practices and society outside the lab.<\/p>\n

Jonathan Lainey
\n<\/strong><\/span>Curator, Indigenous Cultures<\/a><\/p>\n

Jonathan joined the Museum team in 2020. His areas of interests include the social, political and cultural history of Indigenous peoples in Quebec and Canada, particularly wampum belts and the Wendat Nation. He is especially interested in the history of objects and collections over time.<\/p>\n

Mathieu Lapointe
\n<\/strong><\/span>Curator, Archives<\/a><\/p>\n

Mathieu joined the Museum team in 2018. As a specialist in Montreal history and Quebec culture and ideologies, Mathieu has taken a particular interest in citizen movements, moralizing rhetoric, and public inquiries in 20th<\/sup> century Montreal.<\/p>\n

Zo\u00eb Tousignant
\n<\/strong><\/span>Curator, Photography<\/a><\/p>\n

Zo\u00eb joined the Museum in 2022. Her research has focused on examining print culture as a vital form of dissemination for photography; retracing the networks of people and institutions that constitute the field of visual culture; and elucidating the affective bonds created by photographs and photographic practice.<\/p>\n

Christian Vachon
\n<\/strong><\/span>Director, Collection Management

Christian joined the Museum team in 1989. An art historian passionate about Canadian iconography from the 18th<\/sup> century to the present day, Christian is particularly fascinated by graphic satire and the printed image. He focusses on documenting the history of caricature and political cartooning in Quebec.<\/p>\n

Alexis Walker
\n<\/strong><\/span>Associate Curator, Dress, Fashion and Textiles<\/a><\/p>\n

Alexis joined the Museum team in 2015. She works to research and \u200bdisseminate \u200bthe history of Montreal\u2019s clothing industry and tell stories related to its diverse fashion community.
