The “Keys to History – My McCord” website (“the Website”) is owned and operated by the McCord Museum of Canadian History (the “Museum”) on behalf of its board of trustees, staff, volunteers, agents and partners. Access and use of “Keys to History – My McCord” is provided by the Museum for educational purposes, and is meant to be accessible to everyone. Within this context, the Museum respects the privacy and the integrity of any information that you provide as a Contributing User of the Website. The Museum complies with Canada’s privacy laws, and has created the following privacy policy to govern the use of “Keys to History – My McCord” (the “Privacy Policy”).

General policy and feedback

Any personal information gathered through “Keys to History – My McCord” about Contributing Users is not provided to third parties. You will not receive any emails you have not requested and you may update or cease to use your account at any time. Comments regarding this policy may be submitted via the Website’s Feedback

“Keys to History – My McCord” collects personal information when a person first registers to use the Website. Information concerning the use of “Keys to History – My McCord” is gathered through “traffic data” captured in standard web logs and through feedback. The personal information gathered as a result of using “Keys to History – My McCord” will not be sold, traded and/or rented to others.
